Just Like Alice

I fell, hoping that you would catch me,
But you didn’t follow.
I just fell into that black hole,
Just like Alice in Wonderland.
Wondering if you would come.

But then I hit the ground,
And I had to face the truth,
You were never falling down.
So I just sat there,
Hoping that you would.

It’s sad to say that I fell.
I fell into that big black hole.
The one everyone longs for,
And the one everyone wants.
The one I was lucky, yet foolish to find.

So here I sit, still waiting
While you, the boy with the hypnotizing eyes,
Just stare down and laugh.
You just laugh at the foolish girl;
The one that tripped and fell in love with you.
