Heart Brake

Not a night goes by without the nightmares,
worse then any of the gruesome dares.
He haunts my thoughts and my dreams,
and no one can hear my hollow screams.

He was the vision of perfection,
and from my life he was the distraction.
Nothing left to live for,
the moment he walk out that door.

Never thought I'd be the one to fall in love,
or feel as free as a dove.
Soft and sweet things he would whisper,
right be fore he would disappear.

Finally taught I had got it right,
had him on my mind late into the night.
Memorized the spring in his step; oh the way he used to walk,
the slight lisp that touched his talk.

Decided I would give it a try,
finally believed love wasn't a lie.
Too bad I had it wrong,
To him I didn't belong.

And now I'm stuck I don't know what to do,
I made a mistake falling in love; I know its true.
So now I sit and wonder why,
and how the world can go by as I die.
