Bleeding

Here I lay,
Bleeding out my soul,
Waiting for nothing but you.

Red splatters up my bedroom wall,
A pain soaring up my throat,
It’s flying higher than expected.

The machine keeps beeping,
Fading each time,
Losing its tune.

How can you live with no rhythm?
How can your heart beat, when it’s dying slowly?
How can I breath, if you are my air, and you are nowhere near?

Don’t fall asleep,
You may not wake up.

Don’t cry,
You’ll only make it worse.

Don’t let go,
I’ll miss you too much.

You’re dying now,
Falling so slowly,
It’s painful, I know,
But I’m here now,
Watching you cry yourself to sleep,
Your eternal sleep.

I’m finding this hard to bear,
And you used to think I didn’t care?
Is that why you let your life runaway?
Let yourself go and fall?
Give up on your dreams and wash them away?
Drown in your tears every night?
Is that why?

You’re breathing is slowing down now,
You’re machine is dying,
Just like you.

The sound pierces my ears,
A long, hard beep,
Your eyes open,
Your breath turns cold,
Your hand still in mine.

Silent and dead,
You walk away from this Earth,
From all the pain it caused,
You walk away from your life,
Leaving it to stumble on the loose ends,
Letting it collapse and sleep.

You’re flying now,
On your dreams,
Look down to the floor,
What do you see?

A flowered coated grave,
A fancy coffin, too,
Blood by your side,
A knife is there too,
Then you see me,
Now by your side,
Holding your hand again.

Now let’s fly away,
Away from this Earth,
From all the pain it caused,
Let’s walk away from life,
Just us two, together~
