What About Me?

The day you left
Was the start of my fall.
Watching you leave
I was begging on my knees
But you said you will be back for me.
Now that I’m alone
I’ve been dying in pain
Screaming on the top of my lungs
Wasting my life away.
I wish I could explain
I don’t have the energy to eat,
And I‘m too busy worrying to sleep.
My mind is focused on you,
And all I can do is miss you.
I know this is your dream,
But what about me?
I thought I was enough in your life
To bring happiness and joy.
I understand this is what you want,
But do you want to risk it all?
What they tell you
It’s all a lie.
Who are you going to believe?
I’ve been in your life
And you don’t need to please me.
I want you to do what you want,
Not what I have to say.
Just choose wisely
And don’t leave me hanging.
