Lunar Sun

Upon this familiar old dock
Feet dangling beyond the algae covered side
Sounds of nature barely reaching
Cut off from everything, lost without a guide

The lunar sun shines brightly
As waves crash upon the manmade shore
Water left still and empty
As explosions violently break the silence

Time left behind as thoughts overwhelm
Silhouetted on the water
An image of self portrayed pure
Angry splashes selfishly slaughter

Frivolous breakdown filled with tears
Only on the brink of happiness comes
Tears swirled with sadness join water
Always one they were, twisted with problems

Mind no longer so distressed
Thoughts floating about mix with the soft breeze
Unwanted emotions away, decompressed
