My Paper Heart
You leave a bad taste in my mouth,Not that I've ever kissed your lips....
I remember when you came from the south...
With a golden halo above your head, and a sway in your hips...
Eyes as blue, as the angel's ocean...
Lips cracked from the harsh wind,
But still i was mesmerized by your movements, your motions...
Knowing that this was a mistake, but I needed to mend...
I laid in your arms, for a brief time...
Cried on your shoulder, and you on mine...
This was so perfect, so sublime....
But we were crossing the lines...
My heart breaks, and my eyes bleed...
Not iridescent tears, but red pools...
No matter how much i plead....
You still saw me as a fool....
Never believed the words i said....
Even when i decided that i couldn't live another day without you....
That note was my ink heart, and i died when you begun to shred...
Shred the truth that i couldn't say, never believing my feelings were true...
That was the last time i talked to you...
Because of my growing feelings i pushed us so far apart...
But that's okay, because i loved who you were, not who you grew into...
There goes my first love; It's time for a new start for my paper heart...
