Is It Enough?

I want to be heard, I want you to see inside.
I want someone to see just how much that I hide.
I need to be free, to expose my life’s lie.
I live in the shadows of regret and my heart cries.

Can you see what I see?
Can you comprehend all of this hurt that I conceal?
Can you hear my heart breaking?
I need relief of this pain I have veiled for no reveal.

I tell you all, but I don’t let go.
This creature I am is all that I know.
If I let go know, I'll be lost inside.
How do you live when there's nothing to hide?

Can you see what I see?
Can you comprehend all of this hurt that I conceal?
Can you hear my heart breaking?
I need relief of this pain I have veiled for no reveal.

But I can hear you now.
You wrap your arms around me.
You tell me you love me.
You kiss my head,
wipe my tears
The warmth of your embrace fills me with an energy never ending
I am yours is my cry as you give me new life.
I feel my ransomed body escape from its chains
and I know,

You can see what I see
You’ve comforted all of the hurt I conceal
You have healed my hearts breaking
You’re my fountain of love. At your feet do I kneel.
