Sliver of Sunlight

Hiding away from the world that I've shunned.
Backs towards the beauty of the risins sun...
The streetlights flash as I find my way home.
I can't remember when I was last on my own.
I've never been so alone...

Feel the rain fall down, drown out the pain.
Angel's wings are broken now, his forbidden name.
I never saw it coming, didn't know I was falling
Until you told me goodbye.
I still hope you get lost in the sunshine...
Live in the sunshine.

The lies keep on, spinning their webs.
Holding out for the heartbeat of the dead...
Kick the stone, scream out the pain.
Nothing changes for us outcasts.
There's no stopping our inner rain.
This world is crazy.
No one is sane.

Feel the rain fall down, drown out the pain.
Angel's wings are broken now, his forbidden name.
I never saw it coming, didn't know I was falling
Until you told me goodbye.
I still hope you get lost in the sunshine.
Live in the sunshine.

And moonlight falls, stars aligned.
The road stretches on for memories at a time.
I hear you call, your heart strain from the break.
We're gonna make it, we'll smile someday.
Oh, I'm home...
I'm home.
