The Rusted Closet

Images, voices ran through your head

All of them stopped with the sound of your loud heartbeat

A moment of silence lingers in the air

You carefully, softly stepped away

For a moment, you stop and ask yourself if that was "really" you?

It was only once and it will only be once

In denial, You walk closer.

After all, No One Needs to Know.

You wrap the truth like a toy

You throw the truth as if it was nothing more

You throw it into a brand new closet

A beautiful closet

So beautiful that the truth might as well be hidden there

Knowing that no lock can ever keep the truth inside,

You still lock the closet

Time Passed

As time passed, things have changed

Changed it to reach in a special point of your life

But the reasons that got it there---never changed

Your beautiful closet has now become rusted , old and possibly obsolete

You begin to wonder if the truth is still inside

But you will never open the closet

You observe the lock that keeps it inside

You feel a cold air run through you

The rusted closet might have kept the truth through all this time

But it could have never kept the truth forever

With the lock still locked

And the Rusted Closet still in one piece

Truth!

Found a way to set itself free

Through the lies and disguises

Truth found its way through the cracks

And though you are chained to the truth

And You are chained to follow it's path

You are a bit relief

Though Chained to the Truth

You Feel Free

Free,

From the Rusted Closet
