Abigail Brown

Abigail Brown was a sweet little girl
With piercing blue eyes and long curls smooth as pearl
But Abigail Brown held a secret in tight
For she would never forget what truly happened that night
His hands were so rough ripping her innocence away
His eyes were so dark, hinting if she told she would pay

Those few frightful moments would never let her mend
Too scared to tell her family, too hurt to tell her friends
What if that man were to come back once again

And now Abigail Brown has no were to turn
The little blue plus sign made her weak stomach churn
Now no one would believe her, she had waited much to long
And who would even miss them, if the baby and she were gone
So young Abigail Brown had made up her mind
And with her father’s old gun their lives ceased before dawn

But before little Abigail took her own life
She wrote a lengthy note to explain that night’s strife
And when they found her in the woods the nesxt day,
Her parents demanded the wretched man pay

Everyone blamed themselves, somehow they all should have known
Her friends should have talked instead of helping her get stoned
Her boyfriend should have been with her that night
Instead of with friends just picking random fights
Now her parents, their guilt was the greatest, they couldn’t help but bawl
For if they were good parents none of this would have happened at all

But now nothing matters, guilt won’t change a damn thing
Because the only thing left from dear Abigail Brown
Were a few simple pictures and a measly class ring
