Dancing on the Highway

We are dancing in the rain
Memories I’d like to forget
Like a long lover’s quarrel
You may have me trying yet
The water on my ugly face
That you can stand to kiss
It is as if I never really died
The things I gave up for this
My art for the junky dream
Love bought in plastic bags
Dancing out in the highway
A man who wears only rags
