Pray She Never Knows

I must be screaming
Your name at night,
Because my parents keep
Asking who you are.
But what
Can I say about you?
What is there
To tell?
Sometimes I wonder
What I've been saying.
Am I yelling?
Am I sobbing?
Am I ecstatic?
But other times
I pray
I never know.
Whatever it is
Has them boggled,
Seemingly
Afraid.
As I go to embrace
Them,
Their arms shake
And
Their fingers tremble to
Touch me.
Perhaps they've never seen me
So intense.
Fingers tremble to
Touch me and
I fear
It's the same for us.
Perhaps you've never seen someone
Love so intensely.
I pray sometimes that
I never know
If we're lost
Forever,
Or if this is a break
Through what we've
Come to know.
So for this time
We'll stay,
Abandoning love in this
Graveyard.
I pray
I never know
How it ends.
