I Wish

Something feels off
Not quite the same
I don't know, it could be my fault
I might be the one to blame

Something's not right
I feel pain coming through the air
Something has gone somehow
Something's no longer there

I miss the times
When you'd hold my hand
No need to explain
Because you'd always understand
I miss those times
Where you'd wrap your arms around me
And I'd feel safe
But it's sad to say
That's no longer the case

Yes it hurts
The feelings that remain
I feel the scars left on my heart
I feel the permanent stains

Oh I've cried
Tears kept falling down
I'm stuck in this river
Where I know I'll drown

I miss the times
When things weren't so complictaed
Time would just pass us by
Never were we frustrated
I miss those times
Where you'd be there
And I felt so safe
So depressing to say thats no longer the case

What went wrong here?
What went away?
Something's wrong here
And it's so hard to say....
