Waste

In honor now of all pain and fear,
I'll allow another to take the wheel and steer.
It's obvious I need help,
To retain all I hold dear.

I can assume for once,
That true love can come true.
It's not a good idea,
But I can't help but loathe you.

Contained? I think not.
That's what stings me most.
I've never felt haunted,
Not even by your taunts ghost.

As much as I cared,
And sacrificed for so long.
Life goes on,
And I remain strong.

I thought it wouldn't end,
Then I hit a wall.
It stopped me in my tracks,
Before I was about to fall.

I'm thankful now,
For all I've learned.
Also grateful,
For the purity I earned.

I'm better then you,
Always have been.
I hate you now,
I hated you then.

For sitting and rotting away,
While your friends sat back and stared.
Even then it was perfectly clear,
You never actually cared.

I hope you learn your lesson,
And come back to me someday.
Apologize for your faults,
Deliver what you need to repay.

It won't matter now,
I've moved on.
You can stay over there,
So long.
