Fragile And Delicate Soul

So fragile and so delicate
But my dear, do not fret
For that is not how you look in the other’s eyes
You are disguised with all those drugs and lies
Is it as you desired and hoped?
This is how you have coped
Pretend to be invincible
Act as though you are untouchable
Make them all believe that you’re okay
Even after all that they say
The pain that you’ve gone through
Is soon discovered on you
A hand is extended your way
But you didn’t think and pushed it away
One night, a few months down the road
You wanted to live without a secret code
You thought to yourself, “ I want this to end”
As you pulled out that knife, once used only to defend
Slicing your arm one more time
Wishing to end the climb
To the bottom you fall
You once stood tall
The top of the mountain now so far away
As your soul slowly goes astray
Lying dead upon the floor
Someone will soon open up that door
And they will notice how fragile and delicate you really were
