Un-Barbie

Barbie is the image,
the image of hate,
the image of beauty,
that I cannot create.
Little girl's idiol,
though they don't realize,
that she is just a toy,
and toys are made on an assembly line,
all the same,
when we as people are not toys,
we are different, and we have flaws,
these girls think they have none,
they are no Barbie.
All the people in this world picked on,
called names like ugly and fat,
I believe that Barbie is to blame,
creating the perfect image,
when really,
these girls aren't Barbie dolls,
and they think WE have issues.
Barbie is the blame to all the hate people suffer from,
and the pain we feel because we don't feel good enough.
I don't want to be a Barbie,
I don't want to be them.
I don't want perfect.
I have friends who love me,
people who care about me,
and someone I really do love,
with my whole heart,
instead of stupid little 'Barbie and Ken' romances,
filled with fun and good times,
we as 'un-Barbies' have issues.
we have fights,
we get mad,
and then we miss our love,
but that makes us stronger.
I don't want Ken or G.I. Joe,
I want something real,
something NOT plastic.
Something that won't melt because I little bit of fire.
I'm un-Barbie,
and I am happy with it.
