Take Off My Blindfold

Sometimes I walk around

Blindfolded.

I can't see,
All the things that surround me.

Sometimes I do things

Robotically.

My actions are done hypnotically.

The light that supposedly shines
seems not able to come through,
The blue thats in the sky
seems to have changed hues.

When I take the blindfold off,
Theres light
So bright it causes me pain
So I am blinded once again.

Though it hurts more,
Now that I've already seen the rays,
I think about it through the day
Makes me want it more now that its gone away.

Take off my blindfold,
See my eyes
Watch them squint in mere suprise,
As I watch my first sunrise.

Take off my blindfold,
Let me see
The worlds ruins and its beauty
Before I cover my face and try to hide,
At first let me give the light a try.
