The Roar Of The Crowd

The stage, wrapped mostly in darkness
Greets me with a single spotlight
And the sound of thousands of screaming fans.

The cheering escalates as I walk to the mic
Palms sweating
My heart pounding in my head

Words begin to escape my mouth
Almost like magic
They form a song, a story

Guitars, drums, bass join in
Appearing from out of the darkness
The screams, cheers, singing are almost deafening

Tears well up in my hazel colored eyes
I can't believe it's finally happening
It finally came true

The buzz of the alarm jolts me
It was all just a dream for now
But it was going to be reality someday
