Too Late
She watched him walk awayShe held back the tears
The emotions built up
The bottle exploded
It was all too simple
The note she sent him
Not to be in his hands until morning
The gun laying on the table
It would be too late
He couldn't save her now
Her heart was shattered
Pieces too tiny to be put back together
She picked up the gun
His picture on the table
She looked down at it
The gun pressed against her temple
"Goodbye." She whispered
Tears ran down her face
A hand caught her wrist
It was him
"Not Goodbye." He said softly
The gun clattered on to the floor
He held her body close
He would be there for her
No, it was too late
All just a dream
He looked at the note
Then at her casket
The grave yard was empty
A single tear ran down his face
He laid the note on the casket.
"I love you." He whispered, and then walked away
