Insomniac
Tired but I can't sleep.What do you call this madness.
Insomnia.
Crying because the stress is over-bearing.
I wonder if it's because of this facade that I am wearing.
Happy- painted on smile for the outside;
Bleeding deeply from the inside
I still can't sleep.
Insomnia.
People smile in my face; but spit on my name.
Will anything go back to the way it was?
Im so sleepy I feel like zombie.
Insomnia.
Most people would look like the walking dead
if they were to be in my situation.
The mask I have created has stopped my
miserableness from seeping out.
Insomnia.
With all this in my head,
I still don't sleep.
Im like a snoring old man,
with eyes open- no peep.
No snoring without sleep?
Insomnia.
Don't be surprised if you see me with a smile.
If your are more observant than most you will see through,
This wall that I have put up over my emotions.
The wall covering the real face
where I have bags under my eyes that weigh a ton.
Insomnia.
Behind that wall I don't sleep.
What you see me as might be perfect as pie.
But you're wrong
Just look in my eyes.
Insomnia.
Filled with drowsiness and sorrow.
I might not but
Hopefully I will be able to sleep tommorow.
Insomnia.
2 years sleeping 3 hour days.
Thats not healthy but I seem as happy as I could ever be.
Dig deep, really deep.
And what do you see?
The person inside of me thats dying to sleep.
