Watch the sunset
The frozen puddles below mirror the snow blossoms,They capture the ricochets of falling raindrops in frozen animation.
A still, quiet picture.
Our eyes are glass and as they leak they shape together,
His eyes they reflect into mine;
An abyss of the blurring deep.
All we ever were was each other; all we ever were was what we weren’t supposed to be.
We thought that was right.
But we were wrong.
In the clouds we were safe.
But here we put ourselves in danger,
Back down in reality,
All is too real.
I close my eyes to stop the memories,
But instead the frozen pictures stain my mind.
I block my ears to stop the voices, your voice.
But instead I get the echoes.
Why do you cry? I’m not crying.
Why do you lie? I’m not lying.
Why did you die? I’m not dead.
Do not miss the sunset,
It may be your last.
Watch the sunset.
It all goes too fast.
