Monster in my Closet

There’s a monster in my closet,
I see his green eyes.
They glow in the dark,
And give me a surprise.

The monsters big and furry
He is coloured brown
He has a long, shaggy mane
That flows all the way to the ground.

The monster has horns
They poke up to the sky
They have twists and turns
And that is no lie.

Theres a monster under my bed
He has long, sharp claws
They scrap along the ground
As he snaps his jaws

The monster has a growl
That is very long and low
It is a kind of grumble
That makes you shiver, head to toe.

The monster approaches me
He is curved at his back
The spikes that look mountainous
Are really just wack!

The monster that was in my closet
And the one under my bed
Were just my little brothers.
I’ll scare them instead!

I act like I don’t notice
Their presecnse right behind me
RAARRRR!!!!
I say as I pounce into the darkness

I land on one of their backs
They fall to the floor
I wrestle them a bit
Then there’s a knock at the door.

Oh No I think it’s Mum
She’s come to tell us off.
I jump back into bed
And sleep without a cough.
