The wind is cold,
The moon Is bright.
Tonight for sure,
Is the perfect night.

His fingers frozen,
To the metal bars.
That keep him away,
From touching the stars.

Just one step,
And his pain will disappear
He’ll leave this world,
And this time for real.

No one cares,
And no one will ever know
That through his years,
His personal stars would never glow.

He is alone,
And he believes he’s ready,
But his ticking heart
Is so unsteady.

Five minutes of staring down below,
Five second’s ‘til he hit’s the ground
Five hours of pain he will never show.
Five years of rehab,
He should never have wanted to go.

Living through suicide,
And dying inside,
He fails once more,
At this horrible ride.
