A Day of Life, For a Night of the Dead
A reckless kingDown to a science
A world ruled by love, hate and choice
A pied piper by grace
Disgusted by the way of his people
Only to thrust it upon his own way of life
A sword withstands, in the mists of war
From the noblest of them all
Dislodging the crown upon his head
He falls, he falls
The wind wordlessly blowing
As the crown is bestowed on the king’s conqueror,
In the nobles hands
A burden and shunned to the shadows
A new king arises from the sacred ground
Destiny or fate?
A shadow falls over the prized river
The last of the rumbles in the fins of a fish
As a boy’s dream falls
For, the king stands by day
And at night, he disappears with the light
United they once stood,
Apart for once and for all
