Lost within yourself
Locked up inside,stuck in a twisted mind.
Nowhere to hide,
the feeling of going blind.
To wander away,
from the centre of sanity.
No choice but to stay,
sucked in to vanity.
Watch through the case,
sat in your shell.
The beauty of the face,
but a mind put through hell.
Trapped behind the glass
observing life.
Allowing everything to pass,
anger, pain and strife.
No one to turn too,
Stuck on constant hold.
If only they knew,
How much you have turned cold.
The heart still burns,
screaming to be heard.
Torn, but it yearns,
but not a sound; not a word.
Forever lost,
somewhere inside yourself.
To see through unthawing frost,
the old book, left upon the dusty shelf.
Lost within yourself.
