The river.

Face down in the river
Too cold to shiver
Lay without affection
Too close to see a reflection

Face down in a mirror
I couldn't hear her
Drowned in thought
A battle never fought.

Polluted veins ache
"Please wake.. please wake.."
Your mind cannot shake
"A mistake.. a mistake.."

Dead with remorse
A wife you've divorced
Imperfections lay dead
The virus has spread.

Imprinted in the cell
A nightmare within hell
A feeling known too well
Goodbye world. Farewell.
