I often stopped to wonder
About the skin atop your bones;
Would it be soft and cold?
Would it be silky smooth?

I often stopped to wonder
About your eyes;
Did they ever cross the room
And pause to look at me?

I often stopped to wonder
about your pale pink lips;
would thye move with grace?
would they linger after a kiss?

I often stopped to wonder
About the butterflies in my stomach;
How they raced and soared
But they did that only for you

I often stopped to wonder
About the erratic beating in my chest
The clammy feeling on my hands;
Did I have that effect on you?

I often stop to wonder,
Even to this day
About the soaring, jittery feelings
That only you can cause
