My Lonely Little Girl

If a lonely little girl
Were to hang up her smile
Turn in her dancing shoes
And sleep a while.

If this lonely little girl
Were to hide her isolated tears
Would you leave her all alone
Tied up in her fears?

What if this lonely little girl
Put on a brave face?
Managed to live in a bubble
Like the rest of the human race?

Sweet, lonely little girl
An air of confidence surrounding
She’ll always star sure
Even if her hearts pounding.

Carry on little girl
It doesn’t have to be like this
You know you will find that moment
Loneliness becomes bliss.

Look at the that girl
The one and only
Maybe that lonely little girl
Was never actually lonely.
