Love is Key to Life
Today I was walking and I stumbled upon a flower.I picked its fragile body up and I felt like I had suddenly been engulfed in power.
If Life were a person, I imagine that this is what it would feel like all the time,
With all of our lives at its disposal; no matter yours nor mine.
This feeling: I don't like it; it doesn't seem right
That to no ones will but my own, I could take this flower's life without it even putting up a fight.
So I returned the helpless little flower back to the soil
As I think to myself that maybe Life's plan can be foiled.
Maybe we can control our destiny.
And, if we can do this, I believe that Love is the key.
Without Love, we are nothing at all,
We just stumble into Life's traps and into them we deeply fall.
So maybe, just maybe, Love can overpower Life.
Then we could live a more joyous life, not one filled with absolute strife.
