I AM

I am a dreamer who lives within the pages yet to be finished
I wonder how my story will end
I hear the music that exists within life
I see the world through uncovered eyes
I want the freedom we were promised but that has been taken away
I am a dreamer who lives within the pages yet to be finished
I pretend I am fine, even when I am not
I feel like I may sometimes drown before anyone realizes I’m sinking too deep
I touch a broken soul and wish I could heal it
I worry that I cannot escape the expectations of others to follow my own
I cry from others’ pain
I am a dreamer who lives within the pages yet to be finished
I say always express yourself and follow your soul
I dream of worlds you couldn’t imagine
I try to always accept even when I can’t understand
I hope I’ll make a difference
