Tea Party

The blood flowing from my veins,
Draining too fast.
That poison I drank,
Numbing me at last.
The heart you broke,
With shards as sharp as glass,
Can you put a soul in a cast?
Can you kill a person with class?
The fire all around me,
Dancing so elegantly
Your superficial love,
Wrapping around my head and suffocating me,
Jumping off a cliff into the sea,
Could it be?
Is it real love that kills,
I wonder,
What was in that tea?
Licking my lips as the cyanide slips down my throat.
What a wonderful day,
to die.
Was it Romeo who killed Juliet,
Or her own heart?
The heart that bursts with love,
Did it spring a leak?
Or was it stabbed, by the weak?
Love is a serial killer.
Did that wall just talk to me,
Or am I crazy?
I ask again, what was in that tea?
