I Miss You

A sigh escapes my lips.
Looking over the edge towards the sea.
Remembering our last kiss.
How you were with me.

The way your laugh lit up a room.
Your sparkling eyes and beautiful smile.
How you left too soon.
How you’ve been gone for such a long while.

And as I turn away.
From all of this pain.
I remember what you would say.
About what you’d gain.

You’ll never disappear from my mind.
As I carry on my life.
Oh how I hope you’ll find.
Peace in the afterlife.
