Better

Shifting lands that have mophed,
evolved,
grew and
lived.

Living cities that have morphed,
evolved,
grew and
lived.

Still waters that have swelled,
surged,
pulled and
pushed.

But now nothing.

But now nothing happens.
Nothing wants to happen.
Evolution takes place, yes,
but only subtley.

Why can't the lands, cities and seas
do the same?
They've passed through times of hardship
or giving it but it's unfair to stop.
Just like that.
No slowing down.
Just stopped.

I curse this world bringing me into it now.
Send me away to the times of newness.
Of discovery.
Of exploration.

Bright lights, squares and the odd anomaly.
All we are, until they've finished resting.
