Me.

I am Jess
I’m me.
I’ve had labels tossed at me
that were really not who I am.

I am accepting
after I realize that I judged too quickly.
I dwell on situations
that are not even remotely worth worrying about.

I get nervous
when realization hits
that our days our numbered.
I panic when I think about loved ones dying.

I get anxious went I stand before a large group of people.
I talk too fast.
I open up too quickly.
But I listen intently.
I give advice when asked.
I stay loyal to friends.

I cherish random family vacations.
I get sidetracked easily.
I zone out too much.
I don’t fall asleep until 3 in the morning,
even on school days.
Black is my least favorite color
it’s too dark.
Bright colors are more my thing

Avenged Sevenfold and Atreyu are my favorite bands.
I sing Backstreet Boys and N’SYNC
while wearing an Avenged Sevenfold shirt.
I don’t care what you think.

I never have
and never will.

Because I am me.
I am Jess.
