Christmas

Another year
That you're not year
Another heartbreaking Christmas Eve

Missing you now
Even more than yesterday
The last time I saw you're face
A lifetime ago

I'd do anything just for another day
One more time to see you
A friend that's dying
A mother that's sick
Where are you now?

I know you'd be here if you could
But why'd they take you away?
It wasn't your time
We still need you here

Missing you more with each passing day
Especially in the month of May
And when we gather 'round the tree
To open gifts we've each received
My thoughts drift to you
And what we should do
As our hearts begin cry

Throughout the day
We vist loved ones
But it isn't right
You're not here
To spread the cheer
And warmth holidays should bring
