Alfonso

i'm sitting on a bench with a shark named alfonso,
people may point and laugh, run away, agast,
but i don't care.
he's as soft as a Care Bear, except not as scary.
no, he's not as scary.

i'm sitting on a bench with a shark named alfonso,
he has a velvet tongue that's not really a tounge.
he has gingivitis, and is missing a few teeth.
but he's sitting on this bench with me,
sitting on a bench with me and sammie.

i'm sitting on a bench with a shark named alfonso,
how does he survive out of water?
well, that's quite simple, he's H2O intolerant.
so he breathes air through his gills,
the same air as you and me.

i'm sitting on a bench with a shark named alfonso,
a lady just looked at us funny.
she points at alfonso and bares her teeth,
to entertain her little pip-squeak.
but alfonso doesn't care, he has on blue underwear.

i'm sitting on a bench with a shark named alfonso,
and all is well.
he is friendly company, you must agree.
sitting on a bench with alfonso and sammie,
and we're singing this song
