You and Me

Lets paint the sky, just you and me
Lets set the clouds on fire, watch them squirm and squee
Hop on the stars, and count them one by one
Then we’ll float on this gleaming path all the way to the sun

Then we can lie in the grass, dewy and green
Forget our sorrows and what had been
The into the cerulean sea we will dive
Never again could we feel so alive!

We can pluck the flowers, toss the petals in the air
We can run hand in hand through the grassy fields without a care
And after it all we can chase a little butterfly
Wouldn’t it be so lovely and romantic..just you and I?

We can hike through the forest, climb all the trees
Run away from sparrows, hungry animals and bees
We can stare in wonder at the mountains, mighty and tall
And catch each other whenever we may fall

Lets kiss in the rain, in the middle of the night
Giggle and laugh and stumble without plight
We’ll enjoy our lives together, just you and me
Together we’ll make it through it all, together we’ll be free
