My Adventure

"Take my hand," you said to me.
We ran laughing through the hills.
Oh, it was so bright that day!
We had no worries, no responsibilities,
young and free, unburdened by anything

Where were you back then
and where have you gone to?
I've lost your face.
I know,
somewhere your heart beats with mine.

I need to feel that
wild abandon and joy,
but life chains me down.
I can't escape.

So, I wait, paitently,
for the moment
you hold out
your hand to mine.
