Forest Wisdom

I stand alone,
relaxed and content,
close my eyes and
feel the forces around me.
The steady hearbeat of
the Earth below me.
The consciousness
of the living Forest.
Then they come to greet me,
the towering tress with their wisdom,
the rocks rising up with joy.
They invite me to see
the world like they do.
"Slow down, observe and
most of all, laugh."
