The Autumn leaves are tumbling
A windswept lure in the night
Deep somber trees are watching
The world of falling dreams

A whisper for the lamppost
I'll soon be seeing you
A traipse through the clusters
In the heart of the swelling moon

Alone and distant
This empty darkness
This sorrowful dream of night
The story of the dear

Within the Autumn leaves tumbling
The windswept lure of the night
Falling dreams

Sleep not in the houses
Dwell not on the fear
Run from the nightmares
But never leave from here

A spinning tale of wonder
Of midnight dancing days
Within the Autumn falling leaves
The windswept lure of the night
Falling dreams

You'll not be alone here
Never tread nor triumph solemn
Cry nor laugh by your lonesome
Not here

Though the gravel crunches silently
That's never for you to fear.
For the Autumn leaves are tumbling
Taking with them the pride of dreams
The colored plants are falling
Leaving the trees bare

You'll not be alone here
Within the Autumn leaves tumbling
The windswept lure of the night
Falling dreams
But not another person will be seen
Bare as the trees

Wish all that you want
For the Autumn leaves are tumbling
Scattering to the ground
