Longer Than Forever

What is longer than forever?
Is it enough time for us to be together?
When will I see your face again?
When will I stop being haunted of what might have been?

How you walk, why so far away?
Yet here I am alone, here I lay.
Dreaming of you in my consciousness and sleep
Your face has scarred me, my love as deep

What had I done, was it wrong?
Don’t you know it is only you I long?
It is the truth, and in complete certainty I say
I love you, and have watched you day by day

How could I lie of these feelings within me?
I finally found courage, decided to set them free
Yet here you leave me, broken and unfurled
As if my love was the biggest insult in the world
