What Are We Doing
It's amazing,What we make a big deal of.
If we simply can't get an item we wanted,
It's a huge deal.
There are people,
With bigger problems.
Who take what life throws at them,
And don't even complain.
We take everything for granite,
We don't think.
Think of how fortunate we really are,
We just complain.
We don't get our way,
We take it out on everyone else.
Some people don't even ask for anything,
They have little and take it.
We are so greedy,
We don't think.
We aren't grateful for what God gave us,
Some people aren't as fortunate as us.
We don't even think about anyone,
We only think about ourselves.
We don't worry about anyone,
We only worry about ourselves.
What is our world coming to?
Every man for them self?
I feel we can change,
I feel we need to change.
Help someone else,
Let it go when you don't get your way.
Be polite; remember your manners,
Apologize when necessary.
Help someone in need,
Be grateful.
Say thanks,
And appreciate.
Don't ask for more than you need,
Don't expect or feel you deserve it.
If you really need it,
You will get it.
Forget about luxury,
Take what you're given.
Appreciate the little things,
Forget about the big things.
Stop and smell the roses,
And don't forget to stop and think.
