Burn

As the darkness fades from the deepest corners of my mind, vibrant color springs forth, bringing with it the pure innocence of new life. Sweet memories flow softly through my hair. The sun beats down, assuming red flesh. And my skin still burns from the fire of his touch.

Memories whip by me, seizing my soul and pulling. Ice cold water creeps slowly up my bare skin. Velvet falls soft upon my lips. And my skin still burns from the fire of his touch.

A whirlwind of memories rushes past, stinging my mind like a thousand red hot needles. My heart thrives for you, beating furiously with sweet anticipation. Coarse hands fall gentle on my back, burning beyond flesh a pattern not ever to be matched. A hole stands solid in my soul to be filled by only one. And my skin still burns from the fire of his touch.

The winds die down and my eyes smile sweet, remembering. The heat has passed, but my skin still burns.....
