Spring Sorrow

The sun shines bright
The birds, they sing
Spring has finally come
Ready to thaw the frozen hearts of men
Ready to bring back the dead.
But even as this new world comes
The death of a child has arrived.
As people mourn, they know that it's not fair.

That life was ripped away,
A raging battle lost.
Still the birds sing
Still the sun shines
Oblivious to the fresh scares
Worn on the hearts of many.
