Distance

Being miles apart from the one you love
Not seeing him for weeks at a time
Wishing that he was here
and not there
Wondering how he is doing
Looking at the framed picture of him
smiling
his face looks so calm
the best thing thats happened to me
is miles away
thinking about him non stop
everything you do
reminds you of him
When your friends tell you that the distance is too much
you just block them out
because you know that you'll see him soon
and everything will be alright
you know none of them have felt like this
every time your phone rings you think it's him
even when it's just that annoying person that calls you
you look at the small necklace he gave you
wondering if he is thinking of you
writing his name all over your stuff like a crush
but you know it's way more
hoping to see him in one piece
praying to keep him safe
constantly your distracted because of him
every time you look towards your front door
you can imagine him coming over
when you start to cry
you wish he was here to comfort you
to hold your hand and lead you through
keeping you safe in his arms
you know you love him
even though everyone says it's child's play
who cares about the distance
you know someone loves you at least
he cares about you
even though theres a big distance
but the distance doesn't make a difference
does it?
