I Keep My Paint Brush With Me
Where Ever I May Go
In Case I Need To Cover Up
So The Real Me Wont Show

Cause Im Afriad To Show You
The Me You Never Knew
You Might Laugh Or Say Mean Things
Im Afraid Of What You'll Do

I Wish I Could Remove The Paint
To Show You The Real Me
But I Need You To Understand
And To Accept What You See

So If You Could Be Patient
And Possibly Close Your Eyes
I'll Wash Off All The Paint
And Stop With All The Lies

And Once Its Gone
I'll Be Truely Told
And You'll Be My Friend
Who's Pure As Gold

I Wish To Keep This Paint Brush
Keep It In My Hand
In Case One OF My Other Friends
Just Wont Understand

So Please Protect Me Dearly
Thanks For Love So True
But Let Me Keep This Paint Brush
Until I Love Me Too
