Lady of the Silver Moon
I look upon the Lady Moon,Weeping in her silver throne…
She told her story, one night so clear,
The Deepest Midnight of the year…
She was once loved, the stories say,
The full moon stole her love away.
He loved another, so they tell,
But they say that it was just as well…
The tears she cried, they paled her eyes,
So she left the earth and took to the skies.
She took the moon, and lit the stars
Took the duty to hide the scars
The pain was there although ignored,
She hid it on her own accord
He hurt her deeply, she could not forget,
Always pain, always regret…
Deep brown hair with streaks of grey,
pulled in a half bun, out of her way..
Her light cream gown embroidered red,
Color like her heart that bled.
The next time you hear her singing,
Her mournful song as the winds are ringing,
Tears dripping from midnight skies,
Send prayers to heal her cries.
