Realize
You said you would be by my side,And here I am today, with you nowhere in sight.
You told me everything was going to be alright,
But thinking of the past,
I'm guessing it was all a lie.
You're not the first one who lied,
But, you are the the first to tear me up inside.
I think back on all the good times we had,
And now it almost kills me inside to know we could've lasted.
Now I realize why I got butterflies and knots at the same time,
I realize why you always looked so guilty when we held hands.
I realize not everyone can find that happy ending.
But, to tell you the truth, I thougt I was there,
But, somehow I couldn't move that inch closer to you.
We fought every week,
And made up the next.
Called and texted at night before bed,
You said you loved me,
And me saying it back brought me closer to believing you were the one.
My friends told me everything,
I didn't believe you could or would.
But, seeing the truth in your eyes as you told you friends,
It's hard seeing you and hearing your name.
Now I realize why I got butterflies and knots at the same time,

But, to tell you the truth, I thougt I was there,
But, to tell you the truth, I wasted all my time on you.
And now every five seconds I get a text saying the same,
"I'm sorry, baby, please come back. I miss you and love you."
Always the same damn excuses and I've heard them all.
Now, my the only thing I have felt to say to you is "Goodbye."
