Drunken Sate

Love is a drunken state where the high of your emotions is based
Who you’re with and when you see an imperfection in
Them you realized that all of this talk about happy endings is
Romanticized with corny words and promises that will
Be broken within a week and you know that pain can happen as
Well and each kiss you take will sting your lips with
The poisons of their lies that burns your lips and your breath is
Taken away and you decided to take break from the
Fairy tale life and come back to the real world with oxygen and
Hope but not the intoxicating love you once felt.
