Lies from the Liars
I walk through the halls with my head down,Faces swirling around me,
The smiles they wear on their faces,
All fake as the lies they make.
My thoughts dyed black from this deceit,
And this deception, it’s got me beat.
It’s all I can do to keep from going under,
Draw my hood and try too keep my head above water.
Our eyes meet, and you smile just like all the others,
But you’re eyes can’t help but tell the real story.
A startling silver, too bad their stare feels so cold,
And under the pressure I can’t help but fold.
I smile back, and fade in with the crowd.
